Length, Lift, Power and Cost Characterisation of Troughed Belt Conveyors with Minimum Cord Pitch The length, lift, power and cost characteristics of troughed belt conveyors are dependent on the strength and weight properties of the conveyor belt. The longest and highest lift belt conveyors are of steel cord construction. Cord properties, pitch and diameter are standardised by DIN, ISO, AS and others. Steel cord belts fabricated with minimum cord pitch offer significant length, lift, power and cost advantages. This paper presents for long and high lift troughed belt conveyors with minimum cord gap: - length, lift, power and cost characterisations - comparisons with standard belt constructions
