What is UAV?

• Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is an aircraft without human pilot on board• Also known as drones or UAS (unmanned aircraft system)• Remotely controlled by a certified UAV pilot• Usually mounted with camera for image recording or connected to

pilot’s monitor for live viewing• Can be programmed to self land, fly home, follow a locus (path) or a

moving object
