Aladdin and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves I am going to talk to you about two folktales named Aladdin and Ali Baba and the forty thieves about their similarities and differences. First, I am going to talk to you about the differences between these two folktales. In Ali Baba and the forty thieves he’s an old man and lives in a house when Aladdin he’s younger and is homeless and has no money so he steals food from stores to be able to survive. Ali Baba and the forty thieves is in a text and Aladdin is a kid’s movie. In Aladdin there is a blue magic genie when in Ali Baba and the forty thieves there’s no genie. Now I am going to talk to you about Aladdin and Ali Baba’s and the forty thieves similarities. One similarity about them is that Ali Baba and Aladdin are both Arabian folktales. Arabian folktales is an Arab folktale that is a story that has been passed down from many ages ago and has mouthed from peoples mouths from many hundreds of thousands of years ago. Another similarly would have to be there are lots of treasures, riches, golds, and silvers in both interesting stories the royalties have tons, and the cave in Ali Baba has treasure riches. Royalties are like the prince and princess having tons of diamonds and crowns and the prince and princess always have the most money in the country. Ali Baba finds a cave inside a rock and there were tons of gods, silvers and coins. Plus, in both stories, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine get married, and Ali Baba gets married to morgiana at the end. Aladdin got married to the princess Jasmine. Aladdin became Prince Aladdin and now lives in an enormous mansion and has servants and maids but now the princess has more freedom because she has a husband to protect her and also because jasmines dad learned its okay to let his daughter go and outside the mansion it’s not that scary of a place after all.

Between these two stories I prefer Aladdin because it’s a movie and a lot better to understand than Ali Baba which is only a text with words and you can’t really imagine what’s happening like the movement of a movie picture film. Aladdin is a kid-friendly movie and is enjoyable to watch.
