BTEC Music Performance Unit 43 Section 4:The importance of EDM in modern

This presentation will act as a conclusion to this unit and will consist mostly of my opinion.

Overview

I think that Modern Electronic Music styles are important in todays society as they make up the basis of most modern mainstream music.

Though this is the case there are often arguments and speculation and arguments between which styles are better and who are the better artists due to their wide variety. I think that this can be quite a negative aspect to the genres.

One thing I find to be a really positive aspect however is that EDM genres allow ordinary people without much prior training within music production to be ale to make good quality audio through the use of DAW’s that can be accessible to anybody and the like of digital synths.

In conclusion I think that EDM has done nothing but break boundaries from the early days of Kraftwerk to the modern day. It has continued to evolve both technologically and audio wise and as long as new sub genres continue to be created I think that it will for a long time to come.
