I am planning on filming my opening scene at my house. I

chose this because I am planning on doing a one shot opening scene when it take you through the house with well-placed props that give you a sense of what this film will include and them personality type of the character that lives here. It will be a none shaky one-shot that ends up looking at the alarm with the main character in his bed with his face hidden.

There will then be a knock on the door and the character will lazily get out of bed with camera following him. The knocking at the door will be more furious and inpatient. The man with his face still hidden will pick up a gun cock it and put it in his back pocket. He opens the door and there will be another man covered in blood with a gun in his hand. There’s a moment of silence then the man says out of breathe ‘In need your help’.

My Idea

During the whole of scene the opening credits

will subtly fade in and out. It will only be the main and important people being shown in these credits as I won’t have many people involved in the making of the scene and the more involved people need to be shown first.

I want to do a one shot opening scene

because I believe they always look fascinating and the best films in history contain one shot scenes. Films like birdman and Goodfellas are beautifully filmed and I aspire to make a film like that.
