To start your “To Read” or “Things to Check Out” list, you need to create a free WorldCat account at www.npl.worldcat.org .

Click the WorldCat

Sign in link.

Make up a username and password...

Page 5: Make List World Cat

…then click Continue.

Page 6: Make List World Cat

Type the title you’re looking for in the box…

Page 7: Make List World Cat

…then click Search.

Page 8: Make List World Cat

Scroll through the list until you find the title you are

looking for.

We’ll click on My Life in France.

Page 10: Make List World Cat

Scroll down to see if the book is

available.

Page 11: Make List World Cat

You can place a hold. Or, you can add this to a

“To Read” List.

Click Add to list.

Click To Read.

Click Add to list.

My Life in France is on my

WorldCat “To Read” list.

Once there is a spot open on my hold list, I

can go to www.npl.worldcat.org

and Sign In.

After I’ve signed in, I can click on My

WorldCat…

…and click on My Lists.

And here is my “To

Read” list.

Click on any title and you can place a

hold.
