1. Michael Bubl - Havent Met You YetStarts of with a
establishing shot of a supermarket, followed by a short montage
sequence of out of focus shots andnormal close ups. The
establishing shot sets the location and helps the audience follow
better. The shots and themontage sequence tells us that this is in
a supermarket, our artist is also seen pushing shopping cart. This
music video isvery different to the one I analysed before, as this
one is very narrative based, a boy meets a girl narrative based
story. Its mostly appealing to female audiences which our music
video also will be. The video almost looks like something partof
normal persons daily life. Its very simple. The editing is very
fast paced as the cuts are made on the beats which makeit look much
more neat and appealing. There are many close ups of the artist in
the music video, where he is singing intothe camera. Most of the
times the audience have aye contact with him and we are able to see
his facial expressions aswell as his emotions. There are some
performance based shots as well, an example could be the one where
we see aman break dancing on the shop floor, he looks like one of
the staff of the supermarket. There is also a totally randomshot of
the artist and a female lying on bed thats being dragged along the
shop floor from a birds eye view. Its veryrandom but yet it,
represents the idea he has about the female he meets in the shop.
At first its only him singing andperforming but as we near the end
all the customers and the staff starts to join in and it suddenly
becomes a massiveparty where everybody is dancing along and . These
type of music videos are famous among young people as they
canrelate to it. Its about love and happiness and it has a story to
tell which makes it easier for us to understand. Click to edit
