collection of related page, and it has the function mainly based on illustrating the art image and advertising for artisis as a muisc compaign, or the advertising in commercial purpose. In other words, by collecting related pages to show enough information to consumers or audiences.

• The effect of website is linked with the World Wide Web that incented by Tim Berners-Lee, this new creation lead to the mass collaboration worldwide so the effect of website will be more obvious.

Why do an artist needs website?I can come up with 6 main reasons

• 1. Online brochure: it is the way of distributing them, audience will find out more information about you and also to attract more of your fans and create a fan base.

• 2. More audiences: More than 2.4 billion people use the internet everyday, so without having the internet, you will miss a huge amount of audience.

• 3.Influence: By having a website, lots of people will see your website and their idea about if to consume more about the artist is influenced.

• 4.Advertise: Stars need to be advertised to build up the awareness from audiences.

• 5: Marketing : An artist also need a market for the CDs and music performances, and the website is to increase the value of demand.

• 6. Business goals: As you can see in the website of an artist, there is always a link about SHOP, you could purchase the products there.

What is a website like ?There are 6 essential elements in the homepage.

• 1. Great Head Image : the head image is the most important for the homepage of the website, as it is the first thing people will see, so you need to choose an image which will represent your music and the star in the best way.

Short Bio: As there will be lots of new people as potential fans who will visit your website, they won't immediately know the artist or the music , so write a short introduction about what is the music video or something about artist in order to let audiences immediately know who the artist is and what the muisc is about.The short bio should include:

• what is the name of the band/artist?• Where are they/is he/she from?• what do you sound like • what are your influences?

• 3. Music/video : For the first time visitors should be able to have a look at videos and music , then they can clearly get the ideology and also the embeded video can help to attract more audience attention, make sure they are the best or freshest tracks on the homepage.

• 4.Call-To-Action: A Call-To-Action is designed to direct people's attention to something specific that you want them to do while visiting your website. It could bethe mailing list, buy latest album, listen to your latest track...... But it is best to limit and one or two call-to-action list as a maximum depends on what your goals are for the career.

• 5.Latest News/Blogs: Remember that your website should have a blog, but can't be a blog. You can put top news items on the top and direct people to your full blog to see more information.

• 6. Social media links : As people might have a short time visiting your website, so it is a good idea to post a quick link to connect with your social media sites. However, don't overdo it, the purpose is not to send people away to 10 different places other than your website, but to make it easy for them to keep up with your latest activity. So in this case, the social media should be the one you always active on.
