Golden Rules of Saving Electricity

You already know how to save electricity…Can you tell us how?
Golden Rules of Saving Fuel

And you also know how to save fuel…Can you tell us how?
But There’s More to be Done!
So this year we will focus on Saving Waterwhile continuing our efforts to Save Electricity and Fuel
Why water? With changing climatic patterns, it will become harder and
harder to predict monsoon patterns. As a result, water availability in India is expected to decrease by 38%!
In fact, the decrease in water availability is a such a serious concern across the world, that
the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the years 2005-2015 as the International Decade for Action
‘Water for Life’

Water is a Scarce Resource and it is Important to Us in Many Ways
As a Source of Life As a Source of Energy
Why is it Important to Save Water?
www.clubenerji.com
All living things need water to survive and
flourish
Hydroelectric power is an important source of
renewable energy
Saving Water Also Saves Energy!

Supplying water, whether by pumping it up from below the ground or transporting it in tankers, requires energy in the form of fuel and electricity.
Did You Know?Producing a litre of bottled water uses as much as 2,000 times more energy than producing one litre of tap water. This energy is used mostly to package and transport bottled water.
How Much Water Do You Waste?
www.clubenerji.com
Things we do everyday waste a lot of water! To understand how much water we waste, try this at home:• The next time you brush your teeth, leave the water
running and place a large bowl under the tap as you brush your teeth.
• When you finish, use measuring cups to see how much water ran down the drain while you were brushing.
• Multiply that by the number of times a day you brush your teeth. Then multiply that by 365 for a year's worth of tooth brushing.
Think About This: Small actions like these waste millions of litres of water across the world every single day!
