In ecology, sustainability is the capacity to endure; it is how biological systems remain diverse and productive indefinitely. Long-lived and healthy wetlands and forests are examples of sustainable biological systems. In more general terms, sustainability is the endurance of systems and processes.

Natural light-Light obtained from natural sources is known as natural light

Artificial light-Light generated from Artificial or man made source is called artificial light.

HEATHeat is the most important substance given out by light . Heat from lights is sometimes used in heaters to produce heat . Sun’s heat helps us to survive on this earth.

PhotosynthesisLight energy plays an important part in photosynthesis. Light energy from the sun is absorbed by the plant and mixed with water and air to produce starch or food for the plant. Heterotrophs directly or indirectly depend on plants for their survival ,and plants depend on photosynthesis for their own food.

Generation And Saving Of Electricity

Light energy is transferred into electricity with the help of solar cells . A panel which contains a lot of solar cells is known as a solar panel. The generated electricity can be used to power street lights , and other electrical appliances . This way a lot of money can also be saved as solar panels are a one time investment.

The design of a solar vehicle is severely limited by the amount of energy input into the car. Most solar cars have been built for the purpose of solar car races. Since 2011 solar-powered cars have been designed for daily use on public roads. Use of these type of vehicles can reduceUse of fuels.
