Risk Policy Intern Summer 2012 Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Bothell, WA Project Manager - Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) for the Mitigation Division, Region X, which included the following: leading, organizing, managing and executing the project; wrote the Mitigation Mission Area Desired Outcomes and Capability Targets; coordinated and collaborated with the Recovery, Response and National Preparedness Divisions; assisted and worked with AK, ID, OR, and WA state emergency managers, planners and staff; assisted with development of a 3 day State Planners Workshop; and conducted project presentations Intern Summer – 2010 Tulalip Tribes Department of Natural Resources, Tulalip, WA Mapped and inventoried the Tulalip Tribes Reservation storm water infrastructure system; taking over 2,500 GPS data points; spot checked and updated county data; created a GIS database; geo-referenced and integrated grading and drainage plans from as-builts into GIS and used them to plot catch basin and drainage points, as well as storm lines and flow direction
