Surah al-Fatih (The Victory)

�� ح�يم الر� ح�من� الر� الله� � م ��س ب

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful


$ا �ين م'ب �ح$ا ف+ت +ك+ ل +ا ن �+ح ف+ت �ا �ن إ

[48:1] Surely We have given to you a clear victory


و+م+ا �ك+ ذ+نب م�ن +ق+د�م+ ت م+ا �ه6 الل +ك+ ل +غ�ف�ر+ �ي ل+ك+ +ه�د�ي و+ي �ك+ +ي ع+ل +ه6 �ع�م+ت ن �م� 6ت و+ي +خ�ر+ +أ ت

+ق�يم$ا ت �م'س اط$ا ص�ر+

[48:2] That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete

His favor to you and keep you on a right way,


ا ع+ز�يز$ ا +ص�ر$ ن �ه6 الل ك+ +نص6ر+ و+ي

[48:3] And that Allah might help you with a mighty help.


ق6ل6وب� ف�ي +ة+ �ين ك الس� ل+ +نز+ أ �ذ�ي ال ه6و+ ��ه�م �يم+ان إ م�ع+ $ا �يم+ان إ د+اد6وا �+ز �ي ل �ين+ �م6ؤ�م�ن ال+ان+ و+ك ر�ض�

+ �و+األ م+او+ات� الس� 6ود6 ن ج6 �ه� �ل و+لح+ك�يم$ا �يم$ا ع+ل �ه6 الل

[48:4] He it is Who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith-- and Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is

Knowing, Wise--


Yات� ن ج+ +ات� �م6ؤ�م�ن و+ال �ين+ �م6ؤ�م�ن ال 6د�خ�ل+ �ي لف�يه+ا �د�ين+ ال خ+ �ه+ار6 ن

+ �األ �ه+ا ت �+ح ت م�ن +ج�ر�ي ت�ك+ ذ+ل +ان+ و+ك ��ه�م +ات [ئ ي س+ ��ه6م ع+ن +ف[ر+ 6ك و+ي

ع+ظ�يم$ا ا ف+و�ز$ �ه� الل ع�ند+

[48:5] That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter gardens beneath which

rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them their evil; and that is a grand achievement with

Allah


+اف�ق+ات� �م6ن و+ال +اف�ق�ين+ �م6ن ال 6ع+ذ[ب+ و+ي[ين+ الظ�ان +ات� ر�ك ��م6ش و+ال �ين+ ر�ك ��م6ش و+ال

و�ء� الس� ة6 �ر+ د+ائ ��ه�م +ي ع+ل و�ء� الس� ظ+ن� �ه� �الل ب �+ه6م ل +ع+د� و+أ �+ه6م +ع+ن و+ل ��ه�م +ي ع+ل �ه6 الل و+غ+ض�ب+

ا م+ص�ير$ �اءت و+س+ �م+ ه+ن ج+

[48:6] And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the polytheistic men and the

polytheistic women, the entertainers of evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth

with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the resort.


+ان+ و+ك ر�ض�+ �و+األ م+او+ات� الس� 6ود6 ن ج6 �ه� �ل و+ل

ح+ك�يم$ا ا ع+ز�يز$ �ه6 الل

[48:7] And Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.


ا +ذ�ير$ و+ن ا ر$ +ش[ و+م6ب اه�د$ا ش+ +اك+ �ن ل س+ �ر+ أ �ا �ن إ

[48:8] Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner,


وه6 ر6 6ع+ز[ و+ت �ه� ول س6 و+ر+ �ه� �الل ب 6وا 6ؤ�م�ن �ت ل+ص�يال$ و+أ ة$ �ر+ 6ك ب [ح6وه6 ب 6س+ و+ت وه6 6و+ق[ر6 و+ت

[48:9] That you may believe in Allah and His Messenger and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and

evening.


+د6 ي �ه+ الل �ع6ون+ +اي 6ب ي �م+ا �ن إ +ك+ �ع6ون +اي 6ب ي �ذ�ين+ ال �ن� إ6ث6 +نك ي �م+ا �ن ف+إ +ث+ �ك ن ف+م+ن ��د�يه�م ي

+ أ ف+و�ق+ �ه� الل�ه6 +ي ع+ل ع+اه+د+ �م+ا ب و�ف+ى

+ أ �و+م+ن ه� +ف�س� ن ع+ل+ىع+ظ�يم$ا ا +ج�ر$ أ �يه� 6ؤ�ت ي ف+س+ �ه+ الل

[48:10] Surely those who swear allegiance to you do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore whoever breaks (his faith), he breaks it only to

the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward.


+ا �ن +ت غ+ل ش+ اب� +ع�ر+ �األ م�ن+ �ف6ون+ �م6خ+ل ال +ك+ ل +ق6ول6 ي س+6ون+ +ق6ول ي +ا +ن ل �+غ�ف�ر ت �ف+اس +ا 6ون +ه�ل و+أ +ا 6ن م�و+ال

+ أف+م+ن �ق6ل ��ه�م 6وب ق6ل ف�ي �س+ +ي ل م�ا �ه�م +ت ن �س� +ل �أ ب

�و+ أ ا rض+ر �6م �ك ب اد+ ر+

+ أ ��ن إ $ا �ئ ي ش+ �ه� الل م[ن+ 6م +ك ل +م�ل�ك6 يا �ير$ ب خ+ +ع�م+ل6ون+ ت �م+ا ب �ه6 الل +ان+ ك �+ل ب +ف�ع$ا ن �6م �ك ب اد+ ر+

+ أ

[48:11] Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you: Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask

forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is

Aware of what you do:


ول6 س6 الر� +نق+ل�ب+ ي �ن ل +ن أ �6م +نت ظ+ن �+ل ب[ن+ ي و+ز6 +د$ا +ب أ ��يه�م ه�ل

+ أ �ل+ى إ 6ون+ �م6ؤ�م�ن و+الظ+ن� �6م +نت و+ظ+ن �6م �ك 6وب ق6ل ف�ي �ك+ ذ+ل

ا 6ور$ ب ق+و�م$ا �6م 6نت و+ك و�ء� الس�

[48:12] Nay! you rather thought that the Messenger and the believers would not return to their families ever, and that was made fairseeming to your hearts

and you thought an evil thought and you were a people doomed to perish.


�ا �ن ف+إ �ه� ول س6 و+ر+ �ه� �الل ب 6ؤ�م�ن ي ��م ل و+م+نا ع�ير$ س+ +اف�ر�ين+ �ك �ل ل +ا +د�ن +ع�ت أ

[48:13] And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger, then surely We have prepared

burning fire for the unbelievers.


+غ�ف�ر6 ي ر�ض�+ �و+األ م+او+ات� الس� م6ل�ك6 �ه� �ل و+ل

+ان+ و+ك اء +ش+ ي م+ن 6ع+ذ[ب6 و+ي اء +ش+ ي �م+ن لح�يم$ا ر� ا غ+ف6ور$ �ه6 الل

[48:14] And Allah's is the kingdom. of the heavens and the earth; He forgives whom He pleases and

punishes whom He pleases, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.


�ل+ى إ �6م +ق�ت انط+ل �ذ+ا إ �ف6ون+ ل �م6خ+ ال +ق6ول6 ي س+6ر�يد6ون+ ي �6م �ع�ك �ب +ت ن +ا ون ذ+ر6 �خ6ذ6وه+ا +أ �ت ل �م+ م+غ+ان

+ا �ع6ون �ب +ت ت �ن ل ق6ل �ه� الل م+ +ال+ ك 6وا +د[ل 6ب ي +ن أ �+ل ب 6ون+ +ق6ول ي ف+س+ �ل6 ق+ب م�ن �ه6 الل ق+ال+ �6م �ك +ذ+ل ك

�يال$ ق+ل �ال� إ +ف�ق+ه6ون+ ي ال+ 6وا +ان ك �+ل ب +ا +ن د6ون +ح�س6 ت

[48:15] Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions: Allow us (that) we

may follow you. They desire to change the word of Allah. Say: By no means shall you follow us; thus did Allah say before. But they will say: Nay! you are jealous of us. Nay!

they do not understand but a little.


6د�ع+و�ن+ ت س+ اب� +ع�ر+ �األ م�ن+ �ف�ين+ ل �م6خ+ [ل ل ق6ل �و+ أ �+ه6م 6ون �ل 6ق+ات ت Yد�يد ش+ Yس

� +أ ب و�ل�ي6 أ Y ق+و�م �ل+ى إ

ا +ج�ر$ أ �ه6 الل 6م6 �ك 6ؤ�ت ي 6ط�يع6وا ت �ن ف+إ �م6ون+ ل �6س ي�ل6 ق+ب م[ن 6م �ت �ي +و+ل ت +م+ا ك �و�ا +و+ل +ت ت �ن و+إ $ا ن ح+س+

�يم$ا +ل أ $ا ع+ذ+اب �6م �ك 6ع+ذ[ب ي

[48:16] Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant

you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful

punishment.


ع+ل+ى و+ال+ wج ح+ر+ +ع�م+ى �األ ع+ل+ى �س+ +ي ل wج ح+ر+ �م+ر�يض� ال ع+ل+ى و+ال+ wج ح+ر+ ج� +ع�ر+ �األ Yات� ن ج+ �ه6 ل 6د�خ� ي +ه6 ول س6 و+ر+ �ه+ الل 6ط�ع� ي و+م+ن+و+ل� +ت ي و+م+ن �ه+ار6 ن

+ �األ �ه+ا ت �+ح ت م�ن +ج�ر�ي ت�يم$ا +ل أ $ا ع+ذ+اب �ه6 6ع+ذ[ب ي

[48:17] There is no harm in the blind, nor is there any harm in the lame, nor is there any harm in the sick (if they do

not go forth); and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath

which rivers flow, and whoever turns back, He will punish him with a painful punishment.


��ذ إ �ين+ �م6ؤ�م�ن ال ع+ن� �ه6 الل ض�ي+ ر+ �+ق+د لم+ا �م+ ف+ع+ل ة� ج+ر+ الش� +ح�ت+ ت +ك+ �ع6ون +اي 6ب ي

��ه�م +ي ع+ل +ة+ �ين ك الس� ل+ +نز+ ف+أ ��ه�م 6وب ق6ل ف�ي$ا ق+ر�يب �ح$ا ف+ت �+ه6م +اب ث

+ و+أ

[48:18] Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquility on them and rewarded

them with a near victory,


�ه6 الل +ان+ و+ك +ه+ا �خ6ذ6ون +أ ي ة$ �ير+ +ث ك �م+ و+م+غ+انح+ك�يم$ا ا ع+ز�يز$

[48:19] And many acquisitions which they will take; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.


+ه+ا �خ6ذ6ون +أ ت ة$ �ير+ +ث ك �م+ م+غ+ان �ه6 الل 6م6 و+ع+د+ك�اس� الن �د�ي+ +ي أ +ف� و+ك ه+ذ�ه� �6م +ك ل ف+ع+ج�ل+

�ين+ �م6ؤ�م�ن [ل ل +ة$ آي 6ون+ +ك �ت و+ل �6م ع+نك+ق�يم$ا ت �م'س اط$ا ص�ر+ �6م +ك +ه�د�ي و+ي

[48:20] Allah promised you many acquisitions which you will take, then He hastened on this one for you and held back the hands of men from you, and that it may be a sign for the believers and that

He may guide you on a right path.


+ح+اط+ أ �ق+د �ه+ا +ي ع+ل وا +ق�د�ر6 ت �+م ل ى 6خ�ر+ و+أ Yء �ي ش+ 6ل[ ك ع+ل+ى �ه6 الل +ان+ و+ك �ه+ا ب �ه6 الل

ا ق+د�ير$

[48:21] And others which you have not yet been able to achieve Allah has surely encompassed

them, and Allah has power over all things.


+ار+ +د�ب �األ �و6ا +و+ل ل وا +ف+ر6 ك �ذ�ين+ ال 6م6 +ك +ل ق+ات �+و و+لا +ص�ير$ ن و+ال+ rا �ي و+ل +ج�د6ون+ ي ال+ 6م� ث

[48:22] And if those who disbelieve fight with you, they would certainly turn (their) backs, then they

would not find any protector or a helper.


و+ل+ن �ل6 ق+ب م�ن �خ+ل+ت �ق+د �ي �ت ال �ه� الل �ة+ ن س6�د�يال$ +ب ت �ه� الل �ة� ن �س6 ل +ج�د+ ت

[48:23] Such has been the course of Allah that has indeed run before, and you shall not find a

change in Allah's course.


�6م +ك �د�ي +ي و+أ �6م ع+نك �+ه6م �د�ي ي+ أ +ف� ك �ذ�ي ال و+ه6و+

�+ن أ +ع�د� ب م�ن �ة+ م+ك +ط�ن� �ب ب �ه6م ع+ن�م+ا ب �ه6 الل +ان+ و+ك ��ه�م +ي ع+ل �6م ك +ظ�ف+ر+ أ

ا +ص�ير$ ب +ع�م+ل6ون+ ت

[48:24] And He it is Who held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of

Mecca after He had given you victory over them; and Allah is Seeing what you do.


د� ج� ��م+س ال ع+ن� �6م و+ص+د'وك وا +ف+ر6 ك �ذ�ين+ ال ه6م6+و�ال+ و+ل �ه6 ل م+ح� 6غ+ �ل +ب ي +ن أ 6وف$ا م+ع�ك �ه+د�ي+ و+ال � ام �ح+ر+ ال �+م6وه6م +ع�ل ت ��م ل wات+ م'ؤ�م�ن اء �س+ و+ن 6ون+ م'ؤ�م�ن wر�ج+ال Y �م ل ع� �ر� �غ+ي ب wة م�ع+ر� �ه6م م[ن 6م +ك 6ص�يب ف+ت �+ط+ؤ6وه6م ت +ن أ6وا �ل ي +ز+ ت �+و ل اء +ش+ ي م+ن �ه� ح�م+ت ر+ ف�ي �ه6 الل 6د�خ�ل+ �ي ل

�يم$ا +ل أ $ا ع+ذ+اب ��ه6م م�ن وا +ف+ر6 ك �ذ�ين+ ال +ا �ن +ع+ذ�ب ل[48:25] It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque

and (turned off) the offering withheld from arriving at its destined place; and were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge-- so that Allah may cause to enter into His mercy whomsoever He pleases; had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from

among them with a painful punishment.


�ة+ �ح+م�ي ال �ه�م6 6وب ق6ل ف�ي وا +ف+ر6 ك �ذ�ين+ ال ج+ع+ل+ ��ذ إ+ه6 +ت �ين ك س+ �ه6 الل ل+ +نز+ ف+أ �ة� �ي �ج+اه�ل ال �ة+ ح+م�ي

�م+ه6م �ز+ +ل و+أ �ين+ �م6ؤ�م�ن ال و+ع+ل+ى �ه� ول س6 ر+ ع+ل+ى+ه+ا ه�ل

+ و+أ �ه+ا ب +ح+ق� أ 6وا +ان و+ك �ق�و+ى الت �م+ة+ +ل ك�يم$ا ع+ل Yء�ي ش+ 6ل[ �ك ب �ه6 الل +ان+ و+ك

[48:26] When those who disbelieved harbored in their hearts (feelings of) disdain, the disdain of (the days of) ignorance, but Allah sent down His tranquility on His

Messenger and on the believers, and made them keep the word of guarding (against evil), and they were entitled to it and worthy of it; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.


�ح+ق[ �ال ب +ا ؤ�ي الر' +ه6 ول س6 ر+ �ه6 الل ص+د+ق+ �+ق+د ل�ه6 الل اء ش+ �ن إ ام+ �ح+ر+ ال ج�د+ ��م+س ال 6ن� ل +د�خ6 +ت لال+ و+م6ق+ص[ر�ين+ �6م ك ؤ6وس+ ر6 [ق�ين+ ل م6ح+ �ين+ آم�نم�ن ف+ج+ع+ل+ +م6وا +ع�ل ت �+م ل م+ا �م+ ف+ع+ل +خ+اف6ون+ ت

$ا ق+ر�يب �ح$ا ف+ت �ك+ ذ+ل د6ون�

[48:27] Certainly Allah had shown to His Messenger the vision with truth: you shall most certainly enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah pleases, in security, (some)

having their heads shaved and (others) having their hair cut, you shall not fear, but He knows what you do not know, so He brought about a near victory before that.


و+د�ين� �ه6د+ى �ال ب +ه6 ول س6 ر+ س+ل+ �ر+ أ �ذ�ي ال ه6و+

+ف+ى و+ك [ه� 6ل ك الد[ين� ع+ل+ى ه6 6ظ�ه�ر+ �ي ل �ح+ق[ اله�يد$ا ش+ �ه� �الل ب

[48:28] He it is Who sent His Messenger with the guidance and the true religion that He may make it

prevail over all the religions; and Allah is enough for a witness.


6ف�ار� �ك ال ع+ل+ى د�اء +ش� أ م+ع+ه6 �ذ�ين+ و+ال �ه� الل س6ول6 ر� wم'ح+م�دم[ن+ ف+ض�ال$ +غ6ون+ �ت +ب ي ج�د$ا س6 �ع$ا ك ر6 �اه6م +ر+ ت �+ه6م �ن +ي ب ح+م+اء ر6

+ر� ث+ أ �م[ن و6ج6وه�ه�م ف�ي �يم+اه6م س� $ا و+ر�ض�و+ان �ه� الل

ف�ي �6ه6م +ل و+م+ث اة� �و�ر+ الت ف�ي �6ه6م +ل م+ث �ك+ ذ+ل ج6ود� الس'+غ�ل+ظ+ ت �ف+اس ه6 ر+ ف+آز+ ه6

+ ط�أ ش+ ج+ +خ�ر+ أ Yع �ر +ز+ ك �نج�يل� �اإل�ه�م6 ب +غ�يظ+ �ي ل اع+ ر� الز' 6ع�ج�ب6 ي وق�ه� س6 ع+ل+ى +و+ى ت �ف+اس�ح+ات� الص�ال 6وا و+ع+م�ل 6وا آم+ن �ذ�ين+ ال �ه6 الل و+ع+د+ 6ف�ار+ �ك ال

ع+ظ�يم$ا ا +ج�ر$ و+أ ة$ م�غ�ف�ر+ �ه6م م�ن

[48:29] Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers

that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.
