No other opioids were as known as Morphine was. 85% would accept a treatment with opioids if prescribed by a physician. The main reason is the trust in their physicians. The fear to side effects and thinking that opioids are related to a severe illness were associated to the rejection of a treat- ment with opioids. On the other hand, the knowledge of opiods is related to the acceptance to take a treatment with opioids. To evaluate beliefs, opinions, and attitudes towards the use of

Conclusion

Most of the Spanish population associated the Opioids with

“pain”, “illegal drugs”, and “legal drugs”.

No other opioids were as known as Morphine was.

85% would accept a treatment with opioids if prescribed by a

physician. The main reason is the trust in their physicians.

The fear to side effects and thinking that opioids are related

to a severe illness were associated to the rejection of a treat-

ment with opioids. On the other hand, the knowledge of

opiods is related to the acceptance to take a treatment with
