*Nurses’ role in rehabilitation

*The nurses’ role in rehabilitation was the overarching theme to emerge from the research. The concepts of enablement and maintaining independence were seen as extremely important and participants were aware of the need to encourage residents to do things for themselves.*Some participants were aware of the range of skills,

knowledge, expertise and competencies needed for the rehabilitation of older people, while others considered that it did not require any particular skills because rehabilitation was an intrinsic part of nursing older people.

*Nurses

Nurses who deal with rehabilitation patients are trained to take care of the everyday need of the patients. Often after severe brain or physical injury a person may find it difficult to take care of oneself, so these nurses are trained to take care of patients. http://www.rehabilitations.org
