In the top picture, props such as the box and bags have an initial interpretation of packing up. But the deeper meaning is the implication of moving house and packing up their lives.

The second picture, shows a teddy bear, recognised as a childrens toy. However the deeper meaning implies innocence and childhood.

These two pictures of the scrapbook, show the audience a personal recount/ memories of events in the characters lives.

The deeper meaning suggests reminiscing and starting to miss experiences, as well as that this family life is going to be left behind.

The various use of mirrors throughout our video, with both artists staring into the

one on top of the piano and the larger ones in the dance

studio, are used essentially as an object to look at your

reflection/ check appearance.

However, the deeper meanings can link to issues and

confusion with identity as the family breaks down, as well as looking for something more.

These two similar screen shots, show a serene location at grafham

water, with a beautiful lake that the sisters have visited.

A deeper meaning would be that as it is a still lake, it is reflecting the

mutual feeling that the sisters have about leaving their home and

moving somewhere new as well as rememebering a child hood memory

as they may have visited it years ago together and they will be

leaving it behind.

This image shows fingerprints from the crime scene of the

criminal.

A deeper meaning would be that as the detectives have the finger prints of the suspected

criminal, they have commited a crime before this one telling

the audience they are not to be messed with.

This image shows the detective looking at the evidence and photographs from the crime

scene.

A deeper meaning for this could be that not only the criminal but the detective

knows the area well and so has been given the case to work

on.

A Mental Health book is shown on the table next to the

detective, which could mean he is looking into an unstable mind that the criminal has.

A deeper meaning is that as the criminal is on police

records already, they know he is mentally unstable and so the detective is having to research

up on how to deal with this.

Page 10: Semiology ruth and caroline

Here you can see the detective is stressed about the case.

A deeper meaning is that he has already dealt with the

criminal and is finding it hard to believe that he has managed to get out of prison to commit yet more crimes and unsettle

the detective further.
