For most parents, understanding the psychology of their children requires spending quality time with them. Although parents spend time with their children during meals and drives to school, children’s personalities often come out during play time and casual conversation.

television shows is an excellent way to understand their personalities, while simply observing their behavior and interactions with others can also reveal personality traits.

Understanding the preferences of a child is important, as is observing the way a child reacts to things he or she does not like. Since the child’s environment plays a major role in his or her disposition, parents should never be quick to judge the child without considering all external factors involved. In many cases, changing the physical environment or the people around the child can have a profound effect on a child’s behavior.
