Believe it or not, your skin doesn’t have to hibernate with the approach of winter...So, don’t get tempted to give into the winter blues!

PERFECT THE BASICS

Now isn’t the time to slack off your skin care routine. Keep your skin in healthy condition throughout the winter months by perfecting your skin care basics.

The unwelcome effects of dryness either from the cold air from outdoors or from the heated air from indoors can play havoc with your skin.

Start your daily routine with a cleanser that doesn’t dry out your skin or have a high alcoholic content.

Go easy on peels or aggressive exfoliants that can strip your skin, especially if your skin is feeling too dry. Try using gentler exfoliants to reduce dead skin build up and help moisturizers penetrate better.

After preparing your skin for treatment, be sure to nourish it by strengthening your collagen and elastin foundation. Then lock-in the moisture with a hydrating moisturizer for the upper layers!

SUPER HYDRATING MOISTURIZERS

For most skin types and conditions, the moisturizer that works wonders during the warmer months just doesn’t

cut it in winter. Our skin tends to crave a little something more with the demanding effects of the winter climate.

Keep your skin winter wonder-ful by using a daily moisturizer with ingredients that preserve moisture all day long, such as Vitamin E or hyaluronic acid. For dry skin, try using a super hydrating and regenerative moisturizer loaded with humec- tant ingredients at night.

Massage your facial moisturizer in circular motions to improve oxygen circulation to the skin’s surface.
