Tooth Decay
It is one of the most common dental problems in children. The regular
consumption of sugary products, such as candies, cookies, fruit juices and soft
drinks, as well as starchy foods such as bread, potatoes, rice and pasta, result
in the formation of cavities, or tooth decay in children. There are carbohydrate-
rich deposits on the teeth that are attacked by bacteria, which release acids
that damage tooth minerals and structure.

Sensitive Teeth
Sensitive teeth lead to discomfort and pain while consuming hot, or cold food/
beverages. Certain conditions such as degrading of tooth enamel, small
cracks in the teeth, and irritation of the nerve endings can result in this
sensitive reaction to certain hot, or cold food. Children need medical attention,
or even emergency treatment if they have overly-sensitive teeth, especially if it
is sudden and severe.

Bad Breath
Foul breath resulting from decaying teeth, dry mouth, or poor oral hygiene is a
common dental problem. Children need to be given proper oral hygiene tips
and follow a routine dental hygiene at all times. Regular checkups with a
quality dentist and brushing teeth every morning and night can help to a great
extent.

Gum Disease
A variety of gum disease, gum decay, swollen or bleeding gums, also known
as gingivitis, are a direct result of plaque formation and improper oral habits. It
is necessary to follow a strict oral hygiene routine and for proper education of
dental care needs to be provided to children early. It is one of the most
preventable forms of dental disease and simple practices, such as flossing on
a routine basis will go a long way to keeping your gums healthy.

Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom tooth pain is one of the common dental problems that can recur from
time to time unless treated properly. A wisdom tooth can erupt partially, or push
against teeth around it, resulting in moderate to severe pain. This needs the
timely intervention of a qualified dentist to relieve tooth pain and remove the
offending wisdom tooth.
