Problems
Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
Mental health disorders affect mood, thinking, and behavior. It is a serious problem that should be addressed and treated
appropriately. Here are some of the common mental health illnesses that we should all be aware of. If you are experiencing one of these, immediately find mental health services that will help you

ADHD ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a mental health problem which affects millions of children around the world. Children with ADHD have difficulty in paying attention and following instructions. They also have difficulty in socializing with other people and they are frequently daydreaming.
Medication and behavior therapy are the best treatment for children who have ADHD.
Alzheimer’s Disease Increasing age is the most
common cause of Alzheimer’s disease. This
disease is the most common form of dementia and affects one’s memory, thinking and
behavior.
There is no cure yet for Alzheimer’s but there are
some treatments to temporarily improve the
symptoms.
Anxiety Anxiety is a normal part of life that you feel before you go to
interviews, taking exams or facing hard decisions. But anxiety
disorder involves more than just a temporary fear. The fear wouldn’t go away immediately and can get worse over time. It is considered anxiety disorder if a severe fear
lasted for six months.
Treatments include medications and behavior therapy. Alternative
medication can be relaxation techniques such as yoga and
meditation.
Bipolar Disorder Bipolar disorder, which is
also called manic-depressive illness, is associated with
mood swings from the highs of mania on one extreme, to
the lows of depression on the other.
It has no cure but there are different treatments that could help in controlling
emotions or mood swings.
Schizophrenia Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe brain problem
which affects one’s feeling, thinking and behavior.
People with this disorder often hear voices that other people don’t hear, they also think that other people are
reading their minds and controlling their thoughts.
Counseling and medication can help in thinking more
clearly.
Eating Disorder Eating disorder may cause
serious disturbances to your diet. These abnormal eating
habits include eating extremely little food or eating huge amount of
them. The common eating disorders are anorexia
nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.
The treatment for this are adequate nutrition,
nutritional counseling, and medications.
