Stress Relieving Diet
We all are living in an age that is very busy, no one has time for others. At the same time, we
have to face stressful situations all the time, due to many reasons. We have to face tension at
work place, emotional trouble in relationships and many more other reason lead to stress in our
lives. Stress is not good for our mental as well as physical health; therefore, it is essential to
manage stress. These days people are using many kinds of therapies in order to manage their
stress like meditation, massage therapy, music therapy etc. However, it is also necessary to know
that some kinds of foods also very helpful in managing stress in natural way. Yes, it has proven
that certain foods are very effective as stress relievers.
Stress relieving foods
Magnesium rich foods - Foods rich in magnesium are very helpful in lowering stress level. The
foods, like walnuts, avocados, bananas, pumpkins, spinach, broccoli, scallops, oysters, apricots,
cashews and black beans are the rich source of magnesium. These foods stimulate the production
of neurotransmitters, which are essential for relaxation and sleep. At the same time, magnesium
is beneficial for soothing frayed nerves and works just like as muscle relaxant. Hence, any
person, who is under pressure of a lot of stress, should include magnesium rich foods into their
diet.
Vitamins and minerals rich foods - Foods, which are the rich source of vitamins such as Vitamin

anxiety downward. Vitamin C regulates the level of cortisol, which is a hormone secreted by our
adrenal glands in response to stress. Food rich in vitamin C help our body in bringing down
blood pressure and cortisol hormone to the normal level. Some fruits such as oranges, mango,
blueberries, avocados, kiwifruits, pineapple, grapes as well as some veggies like cabbage, turnip,
carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes are must to have in a stress lowering diet.
Omega 3 fatty acids rich food - Consumption of omega 3 fatty acids rich food is best way to
fight stress. Fish, cod liver oil, flaxseed oil, walnut oil, egg yolk, chopped basil, dried butternut
are some good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Consumption of these food helps in lowering the
risk of heart problems, hypertension, high cholesterol, depression. Thus, it is necessary to have
these food in diet of a person especially, those who have to face lots of stressful situation in their
life.
So, in order to live a healthy and happy life it is essential to pay attention over diet. If, you also
facing so many emotional problems and facing stress at your work then it is must to have some
food described above. Moreover, with healthy diet, you should also try some other methods to
alleviate your symptoms of stress such as meditation, deep breathing etc. Try to keep away all
negative thoughts, try to grab all positive thoughts from around you.
