BREAST CANCER

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women during their lives, and many of us know someone — a mother, sister, friend — who has had it.

Some women do not get regular mammograms because of cost and lack of insurance.

CERVICAL CANCER

Cervical cancer happens most often in women 30 years or older but all women are at risk.

It is the easiest gynecological cancer to prevent with regular screening tests and vaccination.

COLORECTAL CANCER

Colorectal is the third leading cause of cancer death among men and women. It is most often found in people over the age of 50.

If colorectal cancer is found in its early stages, it is up to 90 percent curable.

The best way to prevent lung cancer is to quit (or never start) smoking.Even if you have been smoking for many years, it's never too late to benefit

OVARIAN CANCER

Ovarian cancer is cancer that begins in the ovaries. The ovaries make female hormones and produce a woman's eggs.

Ovarian cancer is a serious cancer that is more common in older women. Treatment is most effective when the cancer is found early.

SKIN CANCER

The number of new cases of skin cancer appears to be rising each year. The good news is that skin cancer is now almost 100 percent curable if

found early and treated promptly.

Most skin cancers appear after age 50. But the sun's damaging effects begin at an early age.

UTERINE CANCER

Some women who get uterine cancer have certain risk factors, or things in their life that cause them to have a higher chance of getting this disease.

If you have abnormal bleeding, talk with your health care provider.

Take steps to protect your health by getting the care you need to prevent disease, disability, and injuries. Regular check-ups are important.
