When on the phone to my model I decided to ask them some basic personal information about their

lifestyle and interests. I asked these questions to find out whether my model had any similar interests to my target audience and whether

their interests would help make the Photoshoot more successful. For

instance if he is a fan of the people he is posing as then he would

already have a good understanding of what will be appealing.

I have created a profile fact page for my model that consists of the

information given over the phone.

My model is 22 years old therefore fits into the same age range as the target

audience. As he is at the top of the age range, he fits in with the conventional

structure of having an older model which allows my readers to look up to

him and aspire to be like him.

His favourite music genre is Indie/rock therefore my magazine will cater for his

interests. This means that he will like listening to similar bands that I am

featuring therefore will have a good understanding of what they look like. This will help with my photoshoot as

he can copy the poses from his favourite artists and replicate them for

my magazine images.

My models favourite clothing store is Topman, like 23.8% of my audience. This

will help with my photoshoot as I feel confident that my model will own

clothing that will appeal to the audience and reflect the genre. Even though I

have chosen the final outfits myself, the majority of the clothes I have chosen are featured in Topshop as it is well known

for its individual style. It is also important that my model already owns similar clothing otherwise I would have to buy appropriate clothes to represent

the genre which would be more time consuming and cost money. If I had

chosen a model who loved pop music for example, they might only own bright

coloured clothes and not suite the dark colours of rock therefore would be

unsuccessful at drawing in the reader.
