Jon: Hi. My name is Jon Kenton and I’m here today talking with Gary and Lee Dunham of Alliance Bail Bonds. Hi Gary, Hi Lee.

Gary and Lee: Good Morning.

Jon: So tell me a little bit about Alliance Bail Bonds – about you and Gary.

Gary: Well, (laughs) we op... We started the company in September 2007. I’ve been in the industry about 8 years.

Lee: I’m a bail bond agent as well, uh; I became one when, obviously, we started the company together. I’m a little bit newer at it than him but I’ve learned a lot.

Jon: And so it’s a family business?

Gary: Yes it is. (nods)

Jon: So that must bring comfort to other families that you deal with?

Lee: Right. We actually have a couple other bail bond agents as well. It’s, uh, one of our brothers, a good family friend… fortunately it’s not just me and him, but it feels that way sometimes.

Gary: Yeah sometimes it does, but we do have a full staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Jon: And, and what as a family owned and operated business, what makes you different from what might be the stereotypical bail bond company?

Gary: In people’s minds, they think of bail bondsmen as a, I- I don’t know what they think but I’ve – we’ve had a lot of clients that have said geez this is the first time we’ve ever had anything to do with this and this is nothing that we expected. You know it’s – you know we expected the uh, they don’t know what but we try to provide a professional service to folks that are – that need it. And we try to, you know make them as comfortable as we can, and I think that our experience in the business reflects that. We are one hundred percent a service based industry and we try to never forget that.

Lee: Right.

Gary: And we try to treat everybody with the level of respect and professionalism that we would treat a family member. And that’s one of the things that separate us from other bail bonds companies…

Lee: Absolutely.

Gary: … uh, the other thing that I think separates us is that we advertise that we’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we are. We answer our phone all the time, and I can’t tell you how many calls we get in the middle of the night that somebody’s local, or their from another state, and their loved one is in custody and they’ve call six bail bond companies and we’re the only ones who’ve answered. And they’ve told us straight up, you’re the sixth person I’ve called and the only one that answered, and it may be 2:30 in the morning, but we get up out of bed and go help them. I mean – I mean that’s the – we have a motto at Alliance Bail Bonds that when you need help, we’ll be there. And we try to live up to that. I guess I would just say that Alliance Bail Bonds, we are the key to your release. When you need help, we’ll be there. We tell all – we tell all of our clients when we get through, when the bond is finally through and we’re settling up the – the closing of the bond, we tell all of our clients, we’re hoping to never hear from you again…Nothin’ personal, but if you need us, we’ll be there.
