Calibrating how quickly the future iscoming towards you is tricky

Is change constant or more likepunctuated equilibrium?

Does it always pay to be ahead of the curve?

Slow, slow, quick, quick, slow

Marion
Marion
make slow, slow the title not usually it pays (remove this)

Lessons for organisations

Ensure you are not too attached to current successes & paradigms

Be wary of betting everything unless you really have nothing to lose

Get better at forecasting

Not sure which image from 'Slide 2' you want here Marion
Marion
remove the quote. Could we have a couple small images - bullet 2 a dice maybe, and bullet 3 our child with field glasses?
Marion
Marion
I've shortened the last bullet. This slide looks good now.

Accentuate the Positive

Is work one long re-structure, re-brand, re-direct, re-focus, re-deploy?

Are we fixated on fixing what doesn’t work?

Negative emotions about change are contagious

Marion
make the ball of wool a visible image - keep the quote
Marion
wonder about using theimage on p3 man with end is nigh for this slide and moving the ball of wool and the quote to later slide

Re-disover your archive to appreciate, learnfrom the past

‘You’ve got to accentuate the positive, Eliminate the negative, Latch on to the affirmative, Don’t mess with Mister In-Between.’ Lyrics by Arlen & Mercer, 1944

Establish a 3:1 ratio of positive to negative emotions

Use approaches rooted in positive psychology, such as Appreciative Enquiry

Marion
maybe spread this over 2 slides and add in an image or two -e.g an archive, and something for appreciateive enquiry . keep the quote but have it as a revael at the end
Karen Oakes
There are no images 'from the archive' for this except the ball of string already used on slide 6. I can search for an image to do with traditional crafts or Victorian school children practising handwriting, traditional wine making stomping on the grapes...?
Marion
Delete first bullet about Prahalad and go back to 3 bullets on one slide and use ball of wool and accentuate the positive quote here. Move joyful woman to formula for change slide replacing the tanker
