Text of How well have you represented the 180 degree rule match on action and shot reverse shot
How well have you represented the 180 degree rule, match on action and shot reverse shot in the preliminary task?
180 Degree ruleWe showed the 180 degree well in our preliminary task. We achieved this because we made sure that we only filmed from one side of the actors meaning we clearly achieved this. It was easy for us to achieve this because we could only film on one side of the characters because there was a wall the other side, this meant we stayed within the 180 degree rule. The 180 degree rule is beneficial because it allows the audience to clearly see what is happening without getting confused, so they will be more enticed into the film.
Match on actionIn our preliminary task we showed match on action well. We achieved this media technique twice at the beginning and at the end. We done this by showing the character Queen Peach entering and leaving the room. This is match on action because a shot cuts to another shot continually showing the actions of the character. We represented this well because you can clearly see her entering/leaving the room from different angle's. I like this effect because it makes the action look more interesting as you can see it from more then one angle.
Shot reverse shotAlso in our preliminary task we showed shot reverse shot well. This allows the audience to clearly see a communication between 2 of the characters. We represented this well because in some of the shots we used over the shoulder shots, this shot allows the audience to clearly see the commination going on.
