The idea for the name Black Bag Soap

Company came from the fact that, in India, when you

shop at a liquor store, they almost always put your purchases in a

black paper bag. Sometimes they put an individual beer

in a very small paper bag. It’s called “black

bagging it”.  We wanted our soap to

look as if it were peeking out of one

of those single paper bags, so we use them as

soap labels in order to stay congruent

with this
