PA DE At The Fence Experts, we not only build and sell the perfect fence for your yard, but we also install it with the same attention to detail as it is made. We know a fence is only as good as the way it is installed, so we constantly analyze our procedures and review our fence installations.

At The Fence Experts, we put our years of expertise to work to beautify your property, providing you with a fence made the way fences were meant to be—sturdy, and long lasting. We know, for instance, that vinyl posts must be set in a generous amount of wet concrete to ensure they won’t shift or lean after we leave. To make your fence both attractive and dog proof, we set the posts in a way that follows the terrain without conforming to every bump in your yard.

Because gates are the most used and abused part of your fence, we take extra time and attention to detail when installing gates, making a difference in your everyday life for years to come. We offer an array of custom gates for your fencing. A specialty gate with a concaved or domed top can accent your yard’s entrance. Our gates are all built by our craftsmen, and can be customized to suit your taste. Design choices for your fence include:

• Straight, concaved, or domed top design • Picket top options are cut top (popular with concaved or domed top

design), dog eared, center point, Gothic, or French Gothic pickets • Picket spacing, 1½”, 2½”, shadowbox, or solid board • Picket sizes include 1 x 4”, 1 x 6” or 1 x 6” tongue and groove

Standard gates are made to match your choice of fencing as closely as possible. Our standard post and rail gates are built with 1 × 4” boards for split rail and 1 × 6” boards for slip board or post and board fencing to match rails of each fence type.

Constructed with rough sawn hemlock or pressure-treated yellow pine lumber, each gate is made to withstand years of use. Horizontal rails are fastened between two uprights. A double cross brace strengthens the gate, minimizing sagging.

Sturdy wood fence types with multiple styles featuring hard wood posts and warp-resistant rails. The rough-cut vintage look of the post and rail fence fits into most landscapes and accommodates varied terrains.

A more even, refined appearance can be achieved by using pressure-treated yellow pine posts and rails. Optional wire can be added for the security of children or pets, or to meet pool specifications.

Wood Post & Rail Fence

Rustic-style rail fence with triangular hemlock rails fitted into dense locust posts. Natural wood irregularities of posts and rails add to the classic old-world charm of this style.

• 6” rough sawn Hemlock rails proven to resist warping • 4 x 6” rough sawn locust posts - dense hardwood provides superior durability • Designed for easy repair or replacement • Forgiving sight lines in rough or uneven terrain due to rough cut material with natural

variations in size and shape • Cost effective for pool, child, or pet containment with added vinyl coated wire mesh • Wood is rough sawn and may have splinters and unevenness • Gate posts set in concrete, all other posts backfilled with dirt

Split Rail Fence

Sturdy rough-cut rail fence with uniformly shaped hemlock rails and locust posts. Rails fit through posts and overlap with adjoining rails for trademark appearance.

• 1 x 6” pressure treated yellow pine or hemlock untreated rails • 4 x 6” pressure treated yellow pine posts with a track record of longevity • Designed for easy repair or replacement • Smoother lines compared to split rail fencing because of the uniform sizes and shapes

of the posts and rails • Long-lasting by design - no nails or fasteners used in this fence’s construction • Gate posts set in concrete; all other posts backfilled with dirt

Slip Board Fence

Simplest in its most basic form with rails affixed directly to outside of posts. However, this fence is considered a popular option as an estate fence when coupled with the decorative face and post cap options.

Vinyl-coated green or black wire mesh stretched between posts is a simple fence style which blends well into wooded or heavy foliage areas. Wire is supported by metal T-posts between terminal pressure-treated wood posts. For added strength or security, wood posts may be substituted for standard T-post option.

• 14 gauge vinyl coated green or black wire mesh blends well with back-ground providing a non-obtrusive utilitarian fence

• Option of metal T-posts or pressure treated 4 x 4’s are both a long lasting option (choose the wood 4 x 4’s for added strength)

• Perfect solution for providing security through wooded areas and in places with heavy foliage

Post & Wire Mesh FenceFilled with rich oils, red cedar is naturally resistant to rot, breakdown, and warping. The color variation of this premium red wood adds to its appeal. Compared to white cedar, red cedar fences last an average of ten years longer, are more resistant to warping, have fewer knots and straighter grain.

All red cedar fencing is built to order in our own shop, affording greater flexibility to meet the specific needs of our customers as well as ensuring a high-quality product.

Red Cedar Wood Fences

Shadowbox FencingStaggered pickets extend from each side of the rail at standard spaced intervals, creating a complex privacy fence that is identical on both sides. The design creates broken “sight lines”, allowing one to see through the fence when viewing from an angle. It also allows air flow, an important consideration in small or damp areas.

• 2 x 3” red cedar horizontal rails • 1 x 4” pickets with an option of 1 x 6” pickets for more privacy • Choice of spacing, 1½”, 2½”, or 3½” • Privacy without blocking air flow • Customizable top designs and picket top designs • All posts set in concrete

They showed up right on time and got to work immediately. We needed some brush cut back to fit the fence line and they performed the work without a problem. Spaced Picket FencingSpaced picket fencing adds privacy and definition to your outdoor space. Wooden pickets are fastened to rails with uniform spacing, with spaces offering open style fence or semi-private enclosures. Optional 1x6” pickets with 1½” spacing offers maximum privacy with this style.

Solid Board FencingSolid board fencing is built with the pickets placed tightly against each other on one side of the rail, creating the ultimate privacy fence. Rails and posts are normally installed on the inside of the fence with the solid board picket side on the outside for maximum aesthetic appeal. Be advised that as the fence ages, small gaps between the pickets may appear as the wood expands and con-tracts with moist or dry weather.

Sections are installed level and are stepped to follow the terrain, not racked (installed at the same slope as the ground).

Spindle FencingThis fence is constructed with 1½” square lumber with a pyramid top, and installed between 1 x 4” horizontal rails. The sections are installed between the posts, making this fence look the same on both sides. Pyramid or flat style post caps installed on the posts are standard for this type of fence. Options include choice of 1½” or 2½” spindle spacing, section top design, (straight top, concaved top, or domed top), and size of posts with 4 x 4” or 5 x 5” posts.

• 1 x 4” red cedar horizontal rails with pickets installed in between rails • Pyramid style spindle tops with an option of flat topped spindles • Sections mounted between posts make this fence the same on both sides • All posts are set in concrete

Spruce Stockade FencingSolid privacy fence built from high quality 1 x 3” Gothic style pickets. This fence is the ultimate in value for privacy fencing offering an affordable and long lasting fence solution. Popular for areas that our less visible and where budget is a main consideration.

• 2 x 3” horizontal rails • 1 x 3” beveled pickets with Gothic top • Standard heights of 4’ and 6’

Framed Lattice FencingSturdy 2” square or diagonal lattice panels framed with 1 x 4” “picture frame” style wood boards provide an excellent design for a decorative fence. Sections are installed between posts. Cedar post caps are standard with this fence style.

• Premium heavy duty lattice • Sturdy design with lattice sandwiched between 1 x 4” frame • Choice of pyramid, flat, or copper pyramid style post caps • Great for climbing plants • Popular for creating a semi private backdrop to areas in or around your yard • All posts are set in concrete

Options for our wood fences:Post Sizes The standard post size is 4x4” for pressure treated yellow pine posts. Optional posts include 5x5” and 6x6” posts for a stronger and more decorative post.

Post Tops A flat top post is standard on most of our fence styles. For little additional cost, the aesthetic appeal of your fence may be increased by adding a decorative post or post cap.

Decorative post options include a chamfered or French Gothic post top. Both options are cut right into the post.

Post Caps Post cap options include the flat, pyramid, or ball top red cedar post caps. For our finest, most attractive option, choose the copper top red cedar pyramid post cap for your fence. All our post caps are made from clear red cedar wood; they are designed with intricate detail, adding beauty to your yard.

Post Color this year, Cedar Tone pressure treated Yellow Pine posts! This color treatment upgrades standard yellow pine pressure-treated posts, producing a close match with our red cedar fence sections. This option com-bines the proven durability and longevity of standard pressure-treated yellow pine with the aesthetic appeal of red cedar.

Fence Height Our standard fence heights are 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 feet tall. However, since we build our red cedar fencing, we can custom build your fence to any desired height.

Section Installation For most of our fence styles, choose one of three installation methods:

• Face Mount: our standard procedure of installing fence sections on the outside face of the posts.

• Inside Post Mount: installing the horizontal rails on the inside center of the posts making the posts part of the fence line on both sides of the fence.

• Extended Rail Mount: installing the posts on the outside of the fence sections with rails extending past the last picket to meet on the inside of the post.

Picket Style We have several styles of picket tops to choose from to make the fence an integral part of your property’s style.

• Dog Eared Picket is our standard, most popular style of picket with a 1” 45-degree angle cut on both sides of the picket.

• Center Point Pickets are popular, featuring a 45-degree cut centered on the 1 x 4” pickets and a 35-degree cut on the 6” pickets.

• French Gothic Top Pickets bring an old world charm to your fence with the classic rounded styling and circular patterns on both sides of the picket.

• Flat Top Picket is the most modern style with the pickets simply cut at 90-degrees.

Section Top Style With three different section top designs, you can create the exact style to complement your outdoor living space.

• Straight Top is our most popular design, giving you maximum overall height. • Concaved Top adds soft rounded lines to your fence and is cut 6” at the lowest point

of the curve. The height of the fence is at the post, with the lowest part of the cut in the center of the section. This concaved design offers a forgiving line of sight, making it an ideal choice for uneven terrain.

• Domed Top fence sections have domed top curving downward making the posts a focal point This style also hides uneven terrain and provides the maximum overall height of the two curved-top options 6’ tall 2 1/2” spaced Shadowbox fence with with Diagonal Lattice

New England Round Top ArborThe New England Round Top Arbor has a modern design with clean lines and curves. This arbor brings a contemporary flare to your yard. Jerith Residential SeriesOur most popular series of decorative aluminum fencing, the Jerith Residential Series boasts a screw-less assembly and heavier weight components than the American Series. Coated with the signature Jerith FencCoat System, this fence is an excellent choice for its value and longevity. Unlike other screwless fence systems on the market where pickets are slightly loose and make noise when the fence is shaken, the Jerith screwless assembly is a quiet, sturdy design— proving Jerith Residential Series a true leader in the fence market.

#101 Classic open top picket construction, make this a popular choice for the characteristic all American wrought iron style fencing. This traditional wrought iron design has the open top pressed spear point pickets.

#100 Similar to Style #101, but the staggered height of the picket tops, give this fence a custom design and breaks up the sight line of the top of the fence. Great for uneven terrain, as it minimizes the effect of the grade changes.

54” tall #200 fencing with 4’ wide arched top gate and Pyramid style post caps

#111 This style incorporates cast aluminum finials to the open top pickets which adds an authentic old world charm to this style of fencing, making it a close replicate to the wrought iron steel fencing.

#401 Similar to Style #101 but with a 1 5/8” space between pickets. This fence will keep even the smallest of pets safely in your yard. The narrow spacing provides more visual substance, creating a stronger aesthetic presence in your landscaping.

Concord This distinguished wrought iron design has elegant curves connecting the alternating pickets. Pressed spear pickets centered in the arch are available with finials for a more elegant appearance.

#202 The smooth top rail instead of pressed spear pickets make this contemporary design an ideal fence for many properties. The top rail provides a horizontal sight line and the regularity of the pickets built into the top rail complete the style of this fence.

#200 This fence style combines the classic style of an open top picket and the modern design of smooth top railing in a masterful presentation. With the overlying top rail, and every other picket open between the two top rails, this design is one of the most popular decorative aluminum fences.

#211 This version of Style #200 allows finials to be used on the pickets below the top rail rather than the standard picket points for a more rustic appearance.

Decorative Steel FencingIron World® is one of the fastest growing manufactures in the decorative steel fencing industry. Known for high quality products and excellent warranty, Iron World® is an excellent choice for your decorative steel fencing needs. Industrial aircraft rivets are used to attach each individual picket to the rail allowing the section to meet your job specifications. These rivets provide the strength of a welded product without the rusting.

Iron World® coats their products using a five stage pre-treatment culminating with coating to seal the surface and provide additional corrosion protection. Fourteen oscillating, automatic spray guns then apply a polyester powder to the G90 galvanized steel to ensure all parts of the products are evenly reached with a 3.0-3.5 mil thickness of coating. Iron World’s 20 year warranty covers cracking, peeling, chipping and rusting on their decorative steel fencing.

Deer Exclusion FencingDesigned to provide a barrier for unwanted wildlife on your property with minimal visual impact on your property, our Deer Exclusion Fencing is a perfect solution for many properties struggling to keep wildlife from destroying plants and gardens. Available in two grades and adaptable to different applications, a Deer Exclusion fence can be used for gardens, yards and landscapes. All components are made to blend into the surrounding landscapes and provide exclusion without a visual barrier. Posts can either be driven into the ground or set in concrete for maximum strength.

With a tear strength of over 700lb, and a 15 year life expectancy on the nylon mesh, this fence is a good choice for residential areas, gardens and properties.
