Industries Served World Wide:Machine Construction:In machine construction especially parts made out of high and ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene are used where these are subject to abrasion stress, or in direct contact with strongly corrosive media: gears, chain wheels, bushes, wearing strips, pulleys, rope guide rollers, valves, slide plates, rubbing strips, skimmers and runners, also ribbed guides and guide rails for conveyor belts, pump components, gasket seals etc. Here stress relieved finished parts are used.By the use of our modern machinery we are able to produce large-sized parts.

Packaging and Conveyor Industry:High and ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is employed for the manufacture of star conveyor devices, guide rollers and deflector rollers for bottle filling and labelling machines, bearing boxes, rubbing strips, sliding rails, sliding tables and screw conveyors. These machine components are often in contact with acid media or water and detergents, or are exposed to friction and abrasive wear.

Chemical Industry/Pump Industry:Due to the high wear resistance of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene and its great chemical resistance it is perfect for the use in the pump industry, eg. pump casings, wheels, seals, etc. (also available in PTFE and PVDF)

Fendering Systems:To protect the ocean ships and the dockyards from damage , ultra high molecular weight polyethylene in virgin or regenerated quality has proven to be a perfect material to absorb and deflect the energy created through the docking procedure.

Bulk Material Handling (Mining Industry)Because of the outstanding resistance to wear, its impact and flexural strength, its water repelling properties and since it does not give rise to operational problems such as abrasive wear, caking or sticking of the bulk material.Ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is preferably used for linings in the coal industry. For some years high and ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene has been used for lining silos, coke chutes, conveyor troughs and wagons, stripping plates for filter cake on rotary drum filters, for bearing seats, for the lining of air separators for coal dust etc.Over this period no caking has occurred. In efforts to control the noise level in mining, ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is used in form of rollers for conveyor belts and steel jointed band conveyors because of its good sound insulating properties. When ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is used in underground operations, attention has to be given to the Mine Security Regulations of the appropriate authorities in respect of antistatic finish.

Paper and Cardboard Industry:For this kind of industry ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is used as suction box covers, suction blades, foil blades, scraper and deflecting blades etc. Because of its high resistance to wear the material is proved to be very economic.Due to the low coefficient of friction it grants a very long wire life-time.Ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene can be used with metal and plastic wires.

Ski and Snowboard Industry:High and ultra high molecular PE has been used successfully for ski and snow boards.OKULEN® ski soles and snow board soles are sanded and flame treated in order to achieve a better gluing. They are available in various colors as natural, black, conductive, and also multicolored, transparent.OKULEN® soles are made not only on coils, but also cut to size and if requested cut to shape. Also Skating on fake ice, its possible with UHMW enhanced formula......

Food (Meat) Industry:

Cutting boards as well as boards for work tables of high molecular low pressure polyethylene are not only used by the industry but also by the households. They are hygienically unobjectionable, physiologically inoffensive according to the report of the Federal German Ministry of Health.High molecular low pressure polyethylene for the food industry is used in forming of cutting boards, rams, rolling pins, chopping blocks and moulds, and also as plates in vacuum packaging machinery.

Electrical Engineering:Owing to its good electrical properties, including low dielectric loss factor, which remains almost constant over a wide temperature range, especially at high frequencies, ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is preferably chosen for the production of insulator components in the high and ultra high frequency range.

Electroplating:In electroplating plants, many components come in contact with highly corrosive media. Ultra high molecular low pressure polyethylene is strongly recommended for the manufacture of these components because of its good resistance to chemicals. Thus, for instance, mountings and fittings, expansion bellows, plating drums, gear wheels, bearing linings, conveyor rollers, sliding rails and other items of equipment are manufactured from this material.

UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polymer) has 10 x the strength compared with standard HMW-PE which gives it the unique mechanical properties of high impact resistance and excellent abrasion resistant qualities. This combination is not found in any other polymer material. That is what makes UHMW the most versatile product used through various industries.

Comparison UHMW-PE (Ultra High Mol. Weight) polymer to standard PE grades and metals.

Lets look at both of the most important characteristics of UHMW-PE Impact and Wear Resistance:

The unique wear properties of UHMW-PE can be measured using the industry standard Sand-Slurry Test (Draft DIN/EN/ ISO 15527, Mai 1999) Chart: comparison on Wear OK 1000 , OK 2000, and other materials UHMW offers a high degree of Impact resistance through its long extended molecular chains which in turn reacts to form a tight network which gives it the ability to absorb outside impact forces.

Chart: Impact OK 1000, OK 2000, and other materials. The industry and its applications are growing rapidly, machines need to out perform the competition and are working harder. Standard UHMW is failing, we at TSE-OK recognized the need for a modified high end UHMW-PE product to service this industry. We took this market challenge one step further by modifying our highest molecular chain structure. Here is a list of our Enhanced OK 2000 grades for the toughest industrial challenges: (mostly used in Mining Aggregate, and areas where non stop abuse in a way of life).

Exerpts from article:What needs to be taken into consideration is the grade of polymer, Lamb said. “Everything is referred

to as polymer. You could mean formica or nylon, but you wouldn’t want to use it on an airboat,”

he explains. That’s why his firm recommends only the highest grade, the UHMW polyethylene, for

airboat applications. “It is lighter than metal and there is no corrosion,” Lamb said. UHMW polymer

seems hard as steel as Lamb takes a door key and scrapes it across a lower grade of polymer, putting

deep indentations in the piece and causing microscopic pieces to clutter the surface. Using the same

procedure, the UHMW polymer remains intact with nary a scratch visible. What needs to be taken into

to prevent damage to large ships while docking. The surface is so durable and slick, it has been used

to make temporary ice skating rinks in some shopping malls, he said. Additionally, large trucking

firms use the material to line open truck beds. The much more durable Teflon-like material helps

cargo to better slide out of the truck when the beds are raised. “You can get cheaper products, but

they are not going to last,” explains Lamb. “I have never had anyone come back and tell me this stuff

wore out. I am very happy to work for a company with products like this,” he concluded.

We recycle 100% of our materials.

Our In-house recycle program ensures that our UHMW and HMW materials are gathered clean, milled and packaged 100% in Florida.

It’s hard to believe that a large Industrial Polymer Company operates keeping the environment in focus at all times.

TSE-OK ensures that none of their polymer sheet scrap end up in some landfill site.

Recycling is part of our Quality System Program. We encourage our customers to return all their polymer scrap to us on a regular BUY BACK PROGRAM in order to ensure that our customers go green.

We sort the product by its quality, grade, color and material. Material like Nylon, Acetals, PP etc. are then separated to ensure no contamination with the UHMW.

All our recycled sheet material goes through a vigorous cleaning and sorting process to guarantee a 100% material bond and consistency in quality which our customers appreciate.

Recycling: A four stage process: 1. Cleaning material in water tank to ensure all the dust, dirt, and grime is removed which hinders a good bond. 2. First grind to a micron of 450-500 3. Second grind to a micron of 250-300 4. Third grind to a fine powder micron 150-200 this fine grind is what our sheet is mixed and pressed with to guarantee a perfect polymer bond, elasticity and long product life.

Furthermore, all our regrind have virgin polymer in them to secure the long molecular polymer chains to cross link, and create a superior regrind polymer sheet for the toughest of applications.
