What kind of media institution might distribute

your media product and why?

IPC would be a good publisher for my pop music magazine. The only other music magazine it distributes, is NME, which is good as it is a completely different genre of music compared to mine. This means my magazine won’t have to compete with any other magazines distributed by the IPC and would get more market coverage. Although Bauer had more experience working with music magazines like ‘Q’ and ‘Kerrang’, the IPC works with many women and fashion magazines. This means they have more knowledge on how to promote a magazine towards females, which is my target audience.

The IPC also has a website where my readers could subscribe to my magazine. Also they distribute the magazines all over the UK, to different newsagents and shops, which would make my magazine more well-known and popular.
