How did you attract/address your audience?

Page 2: Question five

After I concluded my questionnaire survey, It showed that the majority of people who answered the question “Who is your favourite indie band/artist?” and they answered Arctic Monkeys with a large percent. So further doing and article about them, and going to a live show made a lot of sense to attract the target audience I set out to accomplish.

I further asked in my questionnaire how old they were, about 70% answered 16-20. This helped me figure

out my target audience to set.

For my double page spread I choose to use the colours grey and white as this applies to both genders, and as I earlier used them in my front page and contents page and as a rule in code and conventions it is important to stay with a colour scheme through out your magazine, as this keeps the reader familiar with the magazine.

I also tried to attract the audience through using witty and slang type words in my contents page to relate toward the target audience being youthful.

I also found out through my questionnaire that people would be wanting to pay either two pound or four pound. Therefore, me making the official price of my magazine £3.80.

Also, from previous research including research of NME magazine and Q Magazine finding out the prices of those magazine and further rounding it up.

I found out, that having artists on the front cover relating to the music that connotes towards the genre of the magazine, sells the best. Therefore, the pictures I took of Arctic Monkeys at a live show, a good quality picture on the left hand side of my front cover, intriguing the target audience to buy the magazine.

To conclude, I think my media production of the magazine attracts and addresses the right audience I set out for. As I have taken in to account the audience feedback.
