Background 10 years ago NO bench calibrations were being carried out in 

the UK marketplaceWithin 2 years Bodyshop Solutions had achieved calibration 

on over 200 benches each year, which included a service. Calibration requirement is driven by nearly all Manufacturer 

Networks, requiring it as part of their annual audit to be an approved bodyshop. Therefore calibration of their benches should be an easy sell for all the 

Manufacturer approved body shops  !!

Benefits to you : Opportunity for you to have a “yearly interaction” with all the 

Celette Bench users.  Opportunity for you to “upsell all the missing or damaged parts” to 

the customer :                                                                                          e.g. foot pumps, captive nuts, pins, safety cables, bolts, etc. The customer “must buy” these for the bench to pass its calibration.  All these add‐ons are at “full price”.

Opportunity for you to also “service their other equipment” at the “same time”, at “extra cost”:                                                                                e.g. welding equipment, infrared and other equipment.

Very positive cash flow – by invoicing for annual work at the beginning of each year, before the work is done. Many customers will pay in advance.

Conclusion: The calibration of benches has been a “significant income 

generator” for us.  We are now doing about 400 bench and Naja measuring system 

calibrations each year, plus the associated parts business. It also “adds extra revenue”  from :

Extra Service Work on welders and  infrared, which we carry out at the same time. 

Sales of New/Second Hand Body Shop Equipment, by seeing what is required. 

Very “positive cash flow” – by invoicing in advance of work being done.

Builds a “closer relationship” with your customers.
