S106 AgreementsWhat are they?Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 sets out requirements for developers to contribute towards affordable housing either through providing units on site, units off site or a cash contribution. The requirements vary borough to borough and are constantly being updated. What can I do about it?These requirements can make a development unviable. We compile all your quotes, write a specialist report to submit with your planning application and negotiate with councils to try and reduce your affordable housing contribution.

S106 Successes

Tufnell Park, Islington – reduction from 50% on site affordable housing to 0%

Archway, Islington – renegotiation of an old S106 to make this development viable

Enfield – we saved our client £72,000 by negotiating the S106 for them
