Total sales in September were nearly identical
to what they were a year ago.
We are still seeing fewer homes on the
market throughout the region.
There has been a good surge of
activity and fewer listings – resulting
in a higher U/C %.
After a blip in early August the
activity has returned to a high level. Higher than
recent years.
A surge of new listings in late
September.
Sales are behind last year by 6% and
ahead of 2012 by 5%. The end of
September had a vry large spike in
the number of closings, however the total equaled
last year.
My View of the Market After a sluggish August, there has been a
strong surge of activity in September and October so far.
Low inventory continues to be an issue. Potential sellers are wondering where they would move to.
There was more negotiation off of list price in August then in July. Fewer multiple offers.
