WOODFORD HALSE SCHOOL Happy New Year to you all.Firstly, can we thank everyone for your support during 2013, we had an amazing year and we are in the process of adding it all up to see the total amount raised and to see how it can be used to enhance the facilities at school for our children. To keep you updated, we raised a huge amount of money with the Fire Service and Santa and we hope that everyone enjoyed seeing Santa around the villages; the total amount raised was £1586 which is shared between the Fire Service and the FSA. Our School Christmas Disco also raised £751 which again, is amazing and we would like to thank everyone involved and the local businesses for providing raffle prizes. Without the volunteers of the FSA and the support of our wonderful community, none of this would be possible. We thank you again and we look forward to providing events that the community can enjoy, details of these events will be provided over the coming months. 55 houses - Land off Farndon RoadFollowing the public meeting held on 9th January, the Parish Council unanimously supported the residents in objecting to this development, which has now been sent to DDC.

44 houses - Grants WayFollowing the Councils objection to this Planning Application, DDC also supported the Council in refusing this application.

Woodford Hill Ground, Canons Ashby RoadOn the evidence available, the Council objected to the Planning Application for a proposed agricultural workers dwelling.

Highway WardenThe Council have appointed Mr Patrick Knight as the Highway Warden for Woodford Halse. There will be more to add to this posting in the March issue.

Budget/PreceptThe budget/precept for 2014/2015 was set and approved by Council at January’s meeting, copy of which will be available with January’s minutes next month.
