Please write below why you want this job. Please use this space to tell us how you match with the things we are looking for (person specification) I have worked with people with learning difficulties for over 20 years. I have recently moved here to be closer to my mother who is ill. I have not been back here very long and it’s changed a lot since I lived here before. My communicating skills are excellent. I can be very understanding. This is a skill I developed working with people who are wheelchair bound. I have a lot of experience dealing with the autistic as well. Recently some of the new staff set up a group for parents with learning difficulties. I support them by answering the phone and taking messages for them during the meetings. I am quite a private person so I tend to leave the group work to the people who enjoy it. I don’t mind mucking in though. No one likes the dirty jobs but they have to be done and I am willing to take my turn. I am very confident as I have been working with these people most of my working life.
