What is a lead?

• When you get a referral from an external partner, client, or friend

• When you become aware of a potential client through

advertisements, events, company websites, social media, etc. but

you have not yet contacted them

• When an individual expresses general interest in your product or

service

A person or organization with a potential

interest in your products or services. More

information is necessary to qualify the lead

and to convert them to an opportunity.

regarding your new Lead (lead

title, lead type, source, etc.)

• Assign the Lead to yourself or a

colleague

• Link contacts and products to

your Lead

• Attach emails, documents and

images (excel files, word

documents, etc.)

• Assign tasks to your Lead

• Record important details about

your Lead, add a lead

description, and even make

notes for later reference

The system will then pull data

from the lead’s profile and

generate a complete estimate in

your desired format (including

contact information and

products/services)

An opportunity is a person or organization that has

entered into your buying cycle by expressing a clear

interest in purchasing your product or service. You

have had contact with them, possibly held meetings,

and you understand their wants and needs.

Don’t forget to select the sales

stage when converting the lead to

an opportunity (these stages are

customizable to fit your needs!!)

I. Select the pencil icon to edit the lead and then check the box “Make it opportunity”

II. Check the box “Make it opportunity” before sending an estimate

After converting your lead to an opportunity, the information will appear in a new opportunity profile. Add

additional information when necessary to keep track of your opportunities status and important details

Select the pencil icon to edit the opportunity and then change the sales stage to “Closed won”

Quick Tip: If your

opportunity doesn’t

convert to an order,

change the sales stage to

“Closed lost.” The

opportunity will then be

stored in your “Closed

opportunity” tab
