What is Labguru?

• Labguru is a research management system – combining both worlds of ELN and LIMS

• Labguru centralizes all aspects of your lab: project planning, inventory, specimens and molecular entities, equipment scheduling, reference libraries and much more

• Labguru will help you keep all your research related information in one place and in context.

1 Click your name to view your profile

3 Set a new password, if desired

Edit your personal information, upload your photo, reset password and view your privileges (as granted by your PI)

4 Hover over the default image, click the ‘change

picture’ button and upload your photo

Select your molecular and specimen collections from our pre-defined list or easily add your own

custom collection

2 To add a new member to the lab, send him an e-mail invitation or

add him manually. He will receive an email instructing him how to

enter the account

3 Click on a member’s name to edit his profile and

privileges

1 Click your account name

and choose ‘Members’ to

view/add members

2 Check the relevant boxes for each member :• For research student, uncheck all boxes

• Read only: restricted user - can view but not add/edit

• Can approve orders: reserved for lab manager/tech or similar position that manage the lab orders

• Can administer system: Equivalent to PI, can view and edit everyone’s work

• Can sign & lock: reserved for supervisor or similar position that can sign completed experiments

3 Your items will be displayed in a customizable index table. Click on a item to access full

details

2 Use the navigation bar to select the module and sub module you wish to work

with
