Challenges facing the sectorPistoia Alliance European Conference 2016918 April, 2016The life sciences sector is undergoing significant change Underpinning many of these challenges are issues around R&DMany of the so-called easy targets have been identified and treatments developedThe industry now needs to focus on more complex and difficult targetsAssociated with this is an increased cost in R&D

Pistoia Alliance3 mins : Prepare the audience for where the future of collaboration is, what the immediate challenges are in the industry today TACTICAL is deliberately crossed out to emphasis that were trying to think bigger here. Link this in to the panel subjects today Mobile/Wearables, Robotics (incl. nanotech and 3d-printing), Big Data.

Challenges facing the Pistoia AlliancePistoia Alliance European Conference 20161018 April, 2016The Pistoia Alliance has had an impact on life sciences R&D through pre-competitive collaborationIt has not been as significant or as wide ranging as hopedThere are some indications its impact may be diminishingTo ensure that the Pistoia Alliance is able to continue to contribute and to influence global R&D strategy at the highest levels, a new strategy is required

Pistoia Alliance3 mins : prepare the audience for why change is needed in terms of the future of the Alliance itself
