How did you use new media technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation stages?

•Researching the conventions of the horror genre•Researching different horror posters and magazines •Learning horror theory which aided my ideas •Researching film distributors •Researching magazine distributors
•Throughout the researching and planning stages, I made sure that I blogged everything into Word Press so that all of my research and planning were in one place.
•I used PowerPoint to create my presentations; Job
Roles, Target Audience research, Horror poster analysis
•Another source that I used in my research and planning
stages were slideshows on slide share; I learned horror
theory specifically from slide share.
•I also used slide share to present my target audience
research and my poster analysis
• I used prezi to present my findings on certain horror
theory's.

•When in my planning stage I used a Nikon camera to do
some test shooting and to get to grips with how the
camera worked.
• I did this also for my location research as well
•I used word to present my 2nd draft of my story board
•I used paint to present my 3rd draft of my story board
•I used survey monkey to find out what my targeted
audience wanted. This was an essential piece of
technology that I used, without it I would not have been
my target audience would not like my media products.
•I used brusheezy to download blood splatter brushes for
my horror magazine front cover to make my magazine
look more professional
•I used Facebook to get some target audience feedback
for which overall magazine front cover I should use
•I used survey monkey to get a response from my target
audience about which image is best fits in the horror
genre for my magazine front cover
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms of conventions of
real media products?
I have used PowerPoint and slide share to present how my ancillary
tasks conform and subvert conventions
I have used I movie to present how I felt my trailer subverted used
and develops conventions.
I used YouTube to download other trailers and put them into my video
and compared them to my trailer
I used YouTube to also show my answer
How effective is the combination of your main and ancillary texts?
I have converged the technologies of Youtube, Prezi, Quicktime
screen record and Quicktime audio recording to easily present this
question
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
I have embedded links into my blog to relate my question to other
blog posts
I have used Youtube to upload my focus group research
I used photo booth recorder on a Mac book to record my focus group
I used Infogram to present my questionnaire findings
