DESCRIPTION
Who do we as individual bloggers write for? This input into one of the "huddles" at Congregation2013 (#cong2013), the bloggers' un-conference in Cong, Co. Mayo, on 30 November, asks questions about authenticity, voice, and audience. See my blog post (you had to 'blog' your way into the conference) here: http://www.congregation.ie/blog-papers/riding-the-festival-waves.html and the un-conference site here: http://www.congregation.ie/

Is there anybody out there?
Talking to ourselves?Preaching to the converted?
Reaching out – but where?
Audience Angst…
• Who is reading?• Why are they reading?• Am I just talking to myself?• Am I making a show of myself?
…Authentic Authority
• Find your voice and sing…• …even if it is just to yourself!
Value Voucher
• VAT – Value Added Thrives• If it’s worth it for you,
it might be worth it for someone else.
Example: Soundwaves Blog
• Read by few…40-50…but they loved it• And it enhanced their festival experience.• Significantly!
So why blog?
• Add to the conversation• Write for writing’s sake• If you have something to say, say it.• If you find something worth reading,
pass it on.
Where to now?
No promotion for promotion’s sake, then?Happy to sing to myself?
Yes. But do let others know.Let the audience select itself.Pause, look, readjust…
be the reader, as well as the writer.
