Social Media Tips for Local Businesses

Are you a small advertising agency managing your clients' social media?

Are you having trouble gaining the response that you're looking for?

We've helped our agency clients understand how to more effectively use social media, and we want to spread the knowledge.

Here are a few tips.

• Post on the weekends or later in the evenings, rather than during normal business hours. More people are likely to see it, and respond.

• Offer a deal! People are far more likely to share your client's page and talk about the brand if there's a benefit or freebie for them.

• Use creative content you already have, create unique and authentic content for your client, or encourage them to do so. Taking behind-the-scenes pictures, sharing exclusive info about the brand, and locating videos from brands you're associated with are all ways you can create interesting content.

• In order to gain more of a following we encourage you to look at how your social media is integrated into your other advertising and existing client base. You'll probably also need to spend a little money on Facebook advertising as well, if you really want to make an impact.
