Twitter Tools for the Complete Marketer These tools have been broken down in to key categories to make it as easy as possible for you to work out what you need. We haven’t mentioned Twitter’s own sites and apps in this guide because while they’re great (and we use them often) it’s worth seeing what other cool tools are out there that might solve a problem for you on Twitter and make you just that little bit more comfortable in your Twitter Marketing efforts. Publishing & Scheduling Buffer A simple and effective social media management tool that does that, plus a lot more. Fill your ‘queue’ of tweets and Buffer will find the best time to send them for you. They give you a hand picked selection of articles they may be of interest and analytics to keep you on track. Free for 10 updates at a time (you can also publish across Facebook, Google+ Page and Pinterest), $11/mth if you want to schedule more than the limit. Tweetdeck THE go to tool for scheduling and most of all community management (see below). It’s owned by Twitter so it has first access to any updates. It’s only available on Desktop (doh!) but you can manage more than one account and allows you to create a team as well. The scheduled tweets sit amongst your other columns you can set up to monitor pretty much anything across twitter and what’s important to you. Community Management Tweetdeck The interface is what we love about Tweetdeck. You add ‘columns’ of streams that can be comprised of your mentions, notifications and messages. The search tool is where it gets fun though, create a custom column for a particular hashtag, filter by media only or remove certain words from your search terms so you only get what is useful to you. Add a column for your lists or what is trending to stay on top of any responsive marketing. Critical to your success if you don’t want to miss a key tweet. Tweetbot This mobile app is handy to manage Twitter on the go while making sure it doesn’t overwhelm you with the notifications of the normal Twitter app. The interface is clean, filtered to what matters (you can determine what you want to see) and quite easy to navigate. Worth the $0.99 price tag in the iOS app store. Page 1 Twitter Tools for the Complete Marketer organikdigital.com.au

Twitter Tools for the Complete Marketer

These tools have been broken down in to key categories to make it as easy as possible for you to work out what you need.

We haven’t mentioned Twitter’s own sites and apps in this guide because while they’re great (and we use them often) it’s worth seeing what other cool tools are out there that might solve a problem for you on Twitter and make you just that little bit more comfortable in your Twitter Marketing efforts.

Publishing & Scheduling

Buffer

A simple and effective social media management tool that does that, plus a lot more.

Tweetdeck

THE go to tool for scheduling and most of all community management (see below). It’s owned by Twitter so it has first access to any updates. It’s only available on Desktop (doh!) but you can manage more than one account and allows you to create a team as well. The scheduled tweets sit amongst your other columns you can set up to monitor pretty much anything across twitter and what’s important to you.

Community Management

Tweetdeck

The interface is what we love about Tweetdeck.

Tweetbot

This mobile app is handy to manage Twitter on the go while making sure it doesn’t overwhelm you with the notifications of the normal Twitter app.

The interface is clean, filtered to what matters (you can determine what you want to see) and quite easy to navigate. Worth the $0.99 price tag in the iOS app store.

Warble

This is a great tool to set up alerts for when people share links from your site but don’t tag you in the tweet. You set up custom alerts as often as you like and will receive an email each time someone tweets a link from your site. A great little nifty tool to thank them for showing you some love :-)

Analytics

Topsy

Their free analytics tool helps you analyse keywords, hashtags, tweets from certain account or linked to a site and allows you to compare them together for the past month. A great way to monitor chatter overtime to see the trend and increase in discussion.

The Pro Plan offers much more detailed statistics including the volume of tweets and sentiment over time.

Social Bakers

The data these guys have access to is pretty phenomenal. Each month they release detailed reports across different countries and industries. Handy if you want an industry standard or to know what you’re up against.

You can also analyse your very own stats and benchmark them across different industries in their advanced analytics dashboard. They have just added a component that can give you some great analysis on your paid advertisements as well.

SocialBro

If learning more about your community is your requirement, then these guys have you covered. You can analyse individual tweets as well but finding the influencers amongst your community with SocialBro might help you get that next product or campaign out to the masses.

Following/Unfollowing

Crowdfire

If you’re not sure where to start or who to follow, this app makes it much easier to find people that are ACTUALLY interested in what you have to say. You can find followers of your competitors, follow people in who you don’t follow back and also unfollow in bulk.

They have daily limits on each and you can pay a small fee to unlock all the features and remove the ads but to get started, it’s a handy tool.

Manage Flitter

They unfollow tool is super quick and easy to unfollow accounts that look like spam, are inactive or you just don’t want to be associated with. Their following tool also allows a

simple way for you to find likeminded followers to your competitors so you can start to grow your audience.

It’s a paid monthly fee but they have a 14-Day trial if you want to give it a go!

Responsive Marketing

Nuzzel

If you don’t want to miss out on a story your friends or followers are talking about, then Nuzzel has you covered. It analyses who you are following and provides stories that are popular and are being clicked on/engaged with.

A great way to see what type of content your customers (who you follow) like.

Tweetchat

If you run Twitter chats with your followers or engage in chats amongst your community, then this tool is super easy. It tracks what everyone is saying around a certain hashtag and makes it simple to engage with them. If you’re looking for Twitter chats within your industry to engage in, then we recommend checking out http://chatsalad.com/

We would love if you can share this guide with your followers so they can make use of some of these great tools. Just hit the Tweet button below:
