49%ofaccountantsdidn’tknowthatnewemployerswouldhaveAEduties

• Dutiesstartdate:thedatethatyourfirstmemberofstaffstartsworkwhichkick-startswhenyourlegalautoenrolmentdutiesbegin

• EmployersmustbereadytocomplywithAEassoonasthefirstemployeebeginsemployment

• OnceregisteredasanemployerwithHMRC,anemployermustinformTPRofpointofcontactandchooseasuitablepensionscheme

• Employeesmustbeassessedtodetermineiftheyneedtobeautomaticallyenrolled

• Eligiblejobholdersmustbeenrolledintoaqualifyingautoenrolmentpensionscheme

• Newemployersafterthesedateswillimmediatelyberequiredtocomplyandimplementthetotalminimumcontributionrate
