 Q&A

 Let’s revisit our decision tree…

EPMA First

If DRM is being used, keep all dimensions local

If DRM is not being used, determine what dimensions are shared with other applications

Dimensions in the Shared Library do not have to be Shared….they can be local

EPMA First

 Create the Shared Library first!

Why? This will make life much easier…

EPMA will ask to you to choose…

…A blank application or to “Auto Create Local Dimensions”

Create Shared Library

 Import *.Ads file into EPMA

Leverage classic metadata with EPMA Generator

Create Shared Library

 Example *.Ads file

Create Shared Library

 Create an Import Profile

The Shared Library is the application

Create Shared Library

The import can merge, move, replace, or create dimensions

Create Shared Library

Once the profile is created it can be executed

 The Shared Library is created

Creating the application

 In Dimensions Library

 Option 1 – blank application

 No other steps required

Creating the application

Drag dimensions from the Shared Library

Activate all associations, validate, and deploy

Creating the application

 Done!

Creating the application

Option 2 – Auto Create Local Dimensions

Creating the application All dimensions are defaulted to Local

 Select a Shared Library dimension

Dimensions

 Either shared or local
