I involved as support engg to resolve complex IT issue with more than Top 1000 customer for Veriats products ( Volume Manger, Filesystem ,VCS & CFS ) on unix(AIX/Rhel /Solaris).

I solved so many complex issues in customer env which is time bound .Company got multi-million dollar business contract due to me.

(Recently solving the Informatica performance issue which makes million dollar deal & VP of Informatica is proud for such a great support work)

It’s very tough to write all my work of 14yr.

I also got one of the best employee award in VERITAS as Backline support engg with so many applause awards from support folks, engg folks and lots of appreciation from customer .

Key Responsibilities:-

*Identified and addressed customer’s critical technical and non-technical issues, coordinate necessary support activities. Communicated effectively and precisely on regular bases through weekly conference calls and e-mails, built a strong partner relationship with the customers and educate them on all available tools and products that will develop and enhance their information structure and case resolutions.

* Worked on very complex issue for customer in AIX, Linux, and Solaris & HP-UX * Advanced debugging of VERITAS products in AIX using trace, truss and kdb * Debugging system hang & system panic issue for VERITAS products in AIX & Linux * Debugging memory leak issue in AIX using the zerofault, Malloc-debug and purify* Debugging performance issue in terms of CPU/memory/IO* Knows to look code in language C plus basic knowledge about c++* Extensive use of cscope to look the code search* Debugging of application core dump issue in AIX/Linux using gdb/dbx.* Deal with very hot time bound customer to resolve issue in time.* Knows the Sales Force tool as a case management * Extensive knowledge of AIX-HMC console to configure any AIX LPAR system * Upgrade of any AIX system using the SUMA tool * Working knowledge of Clarion EMC array, Power path, MPIO & Hitachi Data system* Knowledge of EMC Replication solution i.e. Timefinder * Extensive knowledge of networking tool like tcpdump, IP-Trace, traceroute & look Kernel networks stats using the kernel debugger. *Level 3 technical support for Veritas InfoScale/Storage Foundation, Clustering & Replication products (VERITAS DMP, VxVM, VxFS, VCS, CFS, SFRAC) on all UNIX platforms(AIX,Linux & Solaris)*Technical lead for frontline and advanced support engineers; guide them with their escalations, mentoring junior engineers, provide TOI/brown-bags on technical articles. *Technical Lead for Time-based escalations and for Business critical customer * Perform problem root cause analysis; Unix System crash dump analysis and application core dump analysis.* Coordinate with partner and other software vendors during problem troubleshooting, problem root cause analysis, fixing/testing defects.* Reproduce customer issues on in-house lab environment and engage developers.

Worked on day to day escalation with critical customer to solve any issue related to NFS support. I also worked on system panic ,system hang issue plus performance issue using the IBM PMR tool . Worked with pthread library, AIX LVM & system dump engg group to resolve multiple issue.
