Foreword This simple use case "Employee course registration" was conducted under the Mooc (Massive Open Online Course) "Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud" of the platform openSAP. The goal was to design a small application based on SAP Fiori* from analysis with Design Thinking concepts to development of a prototype. * SAP Fiori UX is the new face of SAP to business users in all lines of business across devices and deployment options. It provides optimal usability for simplified business interactions and ease of use.
Story The purpose of the project is to manage the business process of the company’s continuing education (in the broadest sense of the term). The HR department is in charge of promoting and organizing the continuing education of employees. The main goal is to strengthen the efficiency of the company by aligning employee skills to the requirements arising from the company's strategy. These are the main steps of the full process:
In this document we will consider only the employee inscription for a course. It is essential to offer attractive and high-‐quality courses constantly adapted to the reality of the current situation. The two keys points to keep in mind of this use case are:
• Promoting the most relevant courses for each individual depending on his/her function, background and career objectives;
• Offering a user-‐friendly, simple, fast and intuitive way to the employee for his/her course inscription (course request).
