The Unforgivable Sin
[An-Nisa 4:48]
“Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him, but He forgives what is less than that to whomever He wills; and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.”

Types of Tawheed
1. Rububiyah (Lordship of Allah)
2. Uluhiyyah (Uboodiyah – Worship)
3. Asmaa was-siffaat (Names & attributes)

1. Rububiyah
[Al-Anaam 6:14] Say, “Shall I take for my master other than Allah Who is the Initiator of the heavens and the earth? And He provides all without return. Feeds but is not fed.” Say, “ I have been commanded to be the foremost among those who surrender to Him and ascribe not divinity besides Him.”

Intercession (shafaat) & Means of Access

[Al-Isra 17:56-57] “Those whom they call upon, desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord (waseela), as to which of them should be the nearest; and they (those who are called, they themselves) hope for His Mercy and fear His Torment. Verily, the Torment of your Lord is (something) to be afraid of!”

[Al-An’aam 6:162] “Say: 'Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Aalameen.'”

2. Uluhiyyah
• Acts of worship are only for Allah–Prayer (salah, bowing)–Dua (asking only Allah)–Fasting–Hajj (circumambulating – tawaaf’)–Charity–Sacrifice (slaughtering an animal)

[Ash-Shura 42:11] “There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.”

Where is Allah?
[al-Nahl 16:50] “They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded.”
[al-Mulk 67:16] "Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven, will not cause the earth to sink with you?"
