Christmas is a religious holiday, celebrated on 25th December goats commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

More recently, another form of exercise also celebrate Christmas, not affiliated with Christianity.

Let's call it the American Christmas, because it came to us from America.

The central figure of this form of celebration of Christmas is SantaClaus who brings gifts. American Christmas is a very consumer-oriented holiday, connected by buying gifts, writing cards, Christmas trees and decorations.

In my family celebrated Christmas a little differently.

We place the Christmas tree and decorate it. We cook dinner and invite other family

members. Then we play games.

Santa Claus is a modern mythological figure who hired children in the night before Christmas (from 24thto December 25th).

In 1931 Haddon Sundblom, the illustrator by Coca-Cola first drew Santa in red clothes with white trim. This image is about to become the global standard for Santa Claus.

New Year is usually a public holiday, which marks the beginning of a new calendar year. In the Gregorian calendar, which applies in most of the world, this first in January.

In Roman times it was the beginning of the first in March. In the Julian calendar used by the Orthodox Church New

Year's 14th in January.  Islamic New Year starts on thesolar west 30th in January.  Jewish new year begins at West 22nd solar in September. In Slovenia, the New Year a national holiday, celebrated, as

well as some other countries, in second in January.

I celebrated New Year with family and family friends. We eat dinner first and then we play board games. Children always prepare a puppet show and we get some candy. When the clock is almost midnight, we go out, toast with our neighbors and look at the firework.
