KINDS OF SENTENCE
Declarative Sentence
Interrogative Sentence
Imperative Sentence Exclamatory Sentence
Declarative Sentence- states an assertion often a fact, and sometimes a probability, possibility, or even an impossibility.
It ends with a period. (.)
e. g. Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time.
If there’s a typhoon tomorrow, I will not go to Iraq.
He is the king of his own empire.
Interrogative Sentence
- it asks questions. It ends with a question mark. (?)
It is sometimes called question sentences.
e. g. Who are you?
Do I know you?
How do you do?
Imperative Sentences
- is a kind of sentences which gives a command or request.
The subject is always "you" understood.
Command• To give orders.
Request• to the act of a polite demand
for something.
COMMAND REQUEST
Turn on the radio. Kindly turn on the radio.
Go to the kitchen. Please go to the kitchen.
Pray for my brother. Please pray for my brother.
Exclamatory Sentence
- shows a strong feelings or emotions.
It ends with exclamation point (!).
e. g. Ouch! It hurts!
I’ll never finish this paper in time!
Ye-bah! I’m so gorgeous.
