PRODUCTIVITY IN RECESSION (series 1: New Creation Mystery)

THE PROPHETIC

I see a change in our economy;

development in our communities &

abundance in our societies @ large.

The devil is all out to attack the believers faith, thereby keeping them in darkness

& captivity.

Satan wants believers to

disregard the personality, principles,

promises & power of God.

God is all out to cause

wealth transfer.

The Lord says: cursed is the man who puts his trust in mortal man and turns his heart away from God. V.5

He is like a stunted shrub in the desert, with no hope for the future; he lives on the salt-encrusted plains in

the barren wilderness; good times pass him by forever. V.6

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. V.7

He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water-a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green, and it goes right on producing all

its luscious fruit. V.8

INSPIRATION (Power Thoughts)

1. Recession (Economic down turn) is never our

problem.

2. There are great opportunities in recession.

3. There is a future ahead of recession.

4. Your condition of productivity can be determined either

positive or negative.

5. Your response is a choice. (You either respond in fear & worry or

by confidence in Christ.)

COMMONALITY OF RECESSION

1. Abraham’s Generation: Gen.12:10 & 13:1-2

•There was at that time a terrible famine in the land: and so Abram went on down to Egypt to live.

So they left Egypt and travelled north into the Negeb-Abram with

his wife, and Lot, and all that they owned, for Abram was very rich in livestock, silver, and Gold.

2. Isaac’s Generation: Gen.26:1 & 12

• Now a severe famine overshadowed the land, as had happened before, in Abraham’s time, and so Isaac moved to the city of Gerar where Abimelech, King of the Philistines, lived.

That year Isaac’s crops were tremendous -100

times the grain he sowed. For Jehovah blessed him.

3. Jacob’s Generation: Gen.41:56-57

• So now, with severe famine all over the world, Joseph opened up the store houses and sold grain to the Egyptians and to those from other lands who came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph.
